Errors

Been seeing a lot of errors this evening, on various pages throughout the site. All send me to this:

"Error: Server Error

The server encountered an error and could not complete your request.
If the problem persists, please report your problem and mention this error message and the query that caused it."

I'm using Chrome, and didn't see any errors like this when I was studying earlier today.

Also, not sure that it's an error, but I noticed that all of the lists disappeared from the "Active Lists" tab on the practice page, even though I chose to study everything (I'm referring to the list names with the play/pause buttons). I didn't notice a mention of this in the blog on updates, though. I frequently start and stop adding from various lists (jumping around cuts down on boredom), so I liked the ability to do so while in the middle of practice. Will this feature go away permanently?

just occurred same to me...

try to select "cram" o the list you were studying, practice a couple of items in that "cram" mode, than come back to the usual practice "everything"..

I've just done that and now it seems everything is working fine for me

Viewing custom Chinesepod lists (although I don't use them anymore) is also throwing up an error on access.

The servers have been acting up the last few hours, we've noticed too. That error page is Google's error page, and it comes up if the server errors before our code even starts. So far when it's come up for me, I refresh and the page comes up properly. We've also been trying manually restarting our servers, but problems seem to persist. We'll keep looking for a solution, but I think it will go away on its own soon.

The disappearing active lists list was a bug because of the recent update, yes. I've fixed it so they should be back in place.

And yep, I saw that ChinesePod error and fixed it, Byzanti. Will upload the fix soon!
